Estimated qualifying spend needed at 1 Status Point per $1.
This is a simple estimate using the earning rates shown above and your current Status Point balance. Promotions, non-spend Status Points, posting timing, and future program changes can affect the actual amount needed.
While often earned in the same way, Status Points and Travel Miles serve different purposes and have different expiration rules.
Status Points
Status Points are an annual count toward your Elite Status achievement. They are earned at different rates depending on what you purchase and may post to your account at different times.
- earned on flight purchases for the member
- earned on add-on purchases for the member
- earned on subscription purchases for the member (Discount Den + GoWild! Pass)
- earned by daily spend on your Frontier Airlines World Mastercard ($1 = 1 Status Point)
- an annual indicator of your achieved Elite Status; Status Points reset to 0 on January 1 annually
- spent on award flights
- earned as part of promotions, including credit-card sign-up bonus miles
- earned on purchases of flights, add-ons, or subscriptions for others
Travel Miles
Unlike Status Points, Travel Miles are redeemed for award flights. While you may earn Travel Miles with the same types of activity, they are used differently.
- earned on flight purchases for the member
- earned on add-on purchases for the member
- earned on subscription purchases for the member (Discount Den + GoWild! Pass)
- earned by signing up for the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard
- earned by daily spend on your Frontier Airlines World Mastercard (1–5x per $1)
- spent on award flights for the member or friends and family
- an indicator of Elite Status
- reset annually; unlike Status Points, your Travel Miles balance only decreases when miles are spent or expire
- permanent regardless of activity; Travel Miles expire after one year of no qualifying account activity
*Travel Miles do not reset each January 1. The expiration rule shown here reflects the information carried over from the previous How To GoWild guide.
